Dan is adept at providing practical advice for business ventures. A significant part of his practice is structuring commercial transactions and refinances providing counsel to many small businesses, from employment issues to litigation support. In the event of financial distress, he is experienced in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy protection for individuals and small businesses.
A staple of Dan’s practice is commercial and residential real estate transactions and closings, writing title insurance through highly rated Old Republic Title Company, at no additional cost for attorney representation on ordinary residential closings. Settlements are timely and efficient through the assistance of two excellent Real Estate Paralegals. Dan is also experienced in litigating easement, right-of-way, quiet title, partition and other real estate issues. Dan and the staff afford complete services to real estate developers.
Dan also offers counsel on asset protection/Medicaid issues relating to nursing home care. He frequently handles elder law issues such as wills, trusts, living wills and various forms of powers-of-attorney. Supported by experienced staff, decedent estates are likewise administered timely and cost effectively.
Dan serves as counsel to several area financial institutions and serves as solicitor to the Lycoming County Treasurer’s office. Dan also sits on the Advisory Board of Citizens & Northern Bank, Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He is active in a number of community and faith based organizations as well as a past officer and director of the Lycoming Law Association.
Dan and his wife, Dottie, live in the Montoursville area and have four children.
